When I first heard the term “GrandmaCore” to describe a design trend adopting the cozy charm and simplicity of our grandmothers’ lifestyles, I had to chuckle. I’ve been embracing my “inner grandma” since I was in my 20s. I love vintage furniture and dishes and I enjoy those hobbies we might traditionally associate with our grandmas, like baking and gardening. This fabric collection brings together beautiful flowers, a soft pastoral toile, and other prints you might find on your grandma’s good china or bedroom wallpaper and gives it all a breath of fresh air. The Virginia Rose, featured on a couple of the prints, is the most common wild rose in North America and my grandma’s name was also Virginia. She often exclaimed, while driving through the countryside and seeing a new vista, “Pretty!” She loved flowers and other pretty things so I like to think she would enjoy this pretty little collection and I hope you do too.
