Intro to Foundation Paper Piecing - Spring 2026



In this 4 hour class, we will cover the basics of foundation paper piecing using Carol Doans “Show Me How to Paper Piece” book. We will learn what FPP is, where and why it is used, supplies needed, and how to find patterns. Using the book as a guide and pattern, we will work through the heart patterns to understand the concepts of FPP.


Items required:

  • Machine in good working order, power cord, foot pedal

  • “Show Me How to Paper Piece” book

  • Sharp sewing machine needles, quilting or microtex

  • Neutral 50 wt thread

  • Add a quarter ruler or a 12 in quilting ruler with ¼” lines

  • Small cutting mat

  • Rotary cutter

  • Seam roller (Violet Craft) or small seam presser

  • Scraps of fabric for hearts, ¼ yd light background, ¼ yd border


Class Refund Policy

We understand that plans can change. If you need to cancel your class enrollment, please note the following:

Full Refund: Cancellations made 14 days or more before the class start date will receive a full refund.

Store Credit: Cancellations made within 14 days of the class start date will receive store credit only.

No-Shows: No refunds or credits will be issued for no-shows.

Instructor Cancellations: If Wildflower Quilt Co. must cancel a class for any reason, students will receive a full refund or the option to transfer to a future class.

Transfer Option: If space allows, students may transfer their registration to another class with advance notice.
