Master Your Stripology Rulers

In this single day, 6 hour class you will master using your Stripology Rulers. We will cut strips at ¼” and 1/8” increments in addition to cutting diamonds, triangles, and parallelograms. You will also learn the techniques for making half square triangle units, quarter square triangle units, and the G-Easy method of marking flying geese units using your Stripology ruler.  We will then make this adorable 28”x28” table topper or rearrange the blocks into a table runner. You will be amazed at how perfect you can make Flying Geese.

Supplies:
- Master Your Stripology Ruler book by GE Designs
- Stripology XL Ruler OR Stripology Squared Ruler

Fabric Requirements for the Master your Stripology Rulers portion of class:
     - Light Fabric: ½ yard*
     - Dark Fabric: ½ yard*
*This fabric is for practicing cutting techniques so please bring “unfortunate, expendable" fabrics for practice. Prepare your fabrics by ironing with a little starch, magic sizing, or Best Press.

Fabric Requirements for the Back Home Table Topper portion of class:
     - Seven assorted, coordinating 10" squares (if cutting from yardage or scraps, pieces should be a minimum of 8" square)
     - 1 Yard background fabric, contrasting with the squares
     - For finishing, not needed in class: 1 Yard backing, 1/3 Yard binding

Additional Items to Bring to Class:
1. Sewing machine in good working order. You should be familiar with how your machine works. Be prepared and have your bobbins wound. Don’t forget the cord and pedal

2. Cutting mat, 18"x 24" minimum size or larger

3. Rotary cutter, 45mm or 60mm

4. Coordinating thread for piecing, pins, seam ripper, sewing machine needles, etc.

5. Optional: Iron/pressing tool and pressing board/pad (irons & boards are available in the classroom for shared use)
