Intermediate Quilting 201

This six-week course will help to further your quilting skills. If you are someone who has been quilting for awhile or took our Quilting 101 course this class is for you. Intermediate Quilting 201 will take you through the entire process of creating a quilt from start to finish.

Using the Star Pop II pattern, you will learn how to select your fabric, read your pattern to make it understandable to you and create a quilting process that works for you. Some techniques taught in this class will be perfecting your scant ¼” seam, cutting efficiently with your fabric, chain piecing, and how to do production sewing. The goal of this class is for you to efficiently completed a quilt top by the end of your classes and have it ready to be finish in any manner you choose.

Materials Needed:
- Sewing machine in good working order that you are familiar sewing on
- Quarter-inch foot for your machine - Required
- Sewing pins
- Machine needles size 80/12 (universal or sharps)
- Sharp fabric scissors
- rotary cutter with new blade
- cutting mat (large mats will be provided but, if you have a small one for you station you may bring it)
- 6" x 12" or 6" x 18-24" ruler
- Thread (Neutral Color) & bobbins for your machine
- Paper and pen or pencil for note taking
- Fabric according to the Pattern (If you need help picking fabric there will be time on the first session to pick fabric)
