MODERN QUILT MAKING - 11/07/2022 Start

Instructor:  Natalie Novacek

Details:

If you’ve made a few quilts (or loads of quilts!) but would like to try something fresh and fun, learn new techniques, or simply connect with others who share your passion for quilting, this six-week Advanced Beginner class is for you.

You’ll select one of three quilt patterns designed by Morgan McCollough of Modernly Morgan; Aglow, Gravitate or Homespun. All patterns are fat quarter friendly and come in multiple sizes; you decide what size you’d like to make. For further details regarding the pattern options, see our website at: https://www.wildflowerquilts.com/iishop?form_version=2&showSearchResults=1&search_keyword=modernly+morgan&image=Search.

Night one consists of pattern selection, an introduction to color theory, and ample time to shop and select fabric. Prior to the next class, you’ll have cut fabric and will be ready to start sewing! You’ll have support, guidance and encouragement from the instructor and fellow quilters throughout the process. How far your quilt advances over the course depends on the amount of time you sew between classes. There’s no pressure; go as slowly or as quickly as allows in your schedule.

The instructor for this course is Natalie, our ultra-creative and talented longarm quilter. Natalie has been creating beautiful art for more than 30 years.  She is a quilter, knitter, sewist, home DIY'er, and designer and restorer of vintage furniture. You may know her from Knit & Bolt in Minneapolis, where she also teaches.
